On July 4th, local time, it was learned that a storm hit central New Jersey on the evening of the 3rd. Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey stated that Pleasantville and North Pleasantville, towns about 48 kilometers from New York State, were among the hardest-hit areas.
Murphy mentioned that the strong storm resulted in fatalities, but he did not disclose the exact number of deaths.
