It has been reported that the county of Ker, Texas in the United States, was hit by torrential rain overnight, leading to a deadly “disaster-like” flood. So far, 13 people have died and about 23 campers are missing.

Deputy Governor Dan Patrick stated that among the deceased were children. He mentioned that there were several large camps in the area, one of which is named “Mystery Camp,” housing 750 campers, with approximately 23 of them still unaccounted for.

It is understood that the disaster occurred in the central part of Texas, about 75 miles west of Austin, in the county of Ker. The Ker County Sheriff’s Office advised residents to seek shelter and not travel. Currently, the emergency state of flooding in most areas of Ker County has been extended to 5 PM Central Time.
