[Report] According to the Breitbart News in the United States, President Donald Trump delivered a speech at the signing ceremony of the “Big and Beautiful” tax and spending bill on the 4th. He boasted about the “realistic” strike against Iranian nuclear facilities launched by the US military last month, describing it as a “Midnight Hammer” operation. The US’s involvement in the Israeli-Iranian conflict has further spread the flames of war in the Middle East, raising concerns among various international parties.
During his speech, Trump mentioned progress in American foreign policy and recent military actions. He praised the US Air Force pilots for conducting one of the “most successful” military operations in history—the “Midnight Hammer” operation two weeks ago, stating that it was indeed a “Midnight Hammer.” He also reiterated how the US’s stealthy fighter jets allowed them to remain undetected.
Following an Israeli raid on Iran, which was met with effective counterattacks, the sudden US involvement in the “Midnight Hammer” military action pushed the situation in the Middle East into a more dangerous depth. The Washington Post reported on June 29, citing sources familiar with the matter, that intercepted communications between senior Iranian officials suggested that the damage to Iranian nuclear facilities from US airstrikes was less severe than anticipated. On July 2, the Pentagon stated that the latest assessment within the Defense Department revealed that the military strike delayed the Iranian nuclear program by one to two years. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, recently also expressed that Iran still possesses uranium enrichment capabilities, potentially restarting uranium enrichment activities several months later. The complete resolution of the Iranian nuclear issue cannot be achieved through military means.
Following the “12th War,” the ceasefire between Iran and Israel has now been in place for over a week. However, tensions in the Middle East have not fundamentally eased. General Mohammad Mousavi warned in Tehran that if the enemy were to launch another attack, Iran would respond with a “more devastating” response.
