On the night of July 5th, local time, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office released a statement indicating that on the evening of the 4th, Israel had received a response from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to its ceasefire proposal in Gaza and its related modifications.
Israel was unable to accept these modifications. However, following an assessment of the situation, Prime Minister Netanyahu accepted an invitation from relevant parties to engage in close negotiations. He has instructed the Israeli negotiation delegation to travel to Qatar on the 6th, participating in a new round of indirect negotiations based on the ceasefire proposal previously agreed upon by Israel.
