On June 28th, local time, the Chairman of Ukraine’s Supreme Duma (parliament), Ruslan Stefanchuk, stated that
The Supreme Duma is drafting an act on holding elections after the end of a state of war.
Stefanchuk mentioned that the draft is currently being developed because a new special law draft is needed for regulating elections following the end of what he referred to as the “state of war.” He noted that Ukraine faces many challenges, and the nature of these challenges largely depends on how and when the conflict ends. Various basic plans are currently being prepared. In his view, Ukraine can find the right legislative compromise. (Reported by Dong Wei, CCTV)
