On July 7th, local time, US President Donald Trump posted a letter to Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on social media platforms, announcing that starting from August 1, 2025, the United States would impose a 25% tariff on all goods imported into the country from Japan and South Korea.
