△European Council President Costa
On July 9th, local time, the President of the European Council, Costa, held a telephone conversation with Iranian President Pezeshkian. Costa stated that both parties had engaged in in-depth exchanges and agreed that resolving conflicts through dialogue is the correct path to achieving peace and stability.
Pezeshkian expressed that Iran would continue to be part of the Non-Proliferation Treaty and was willing to continue cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Costa urged Iran not to push for legislation that would suspend cooperation with the IAEA.
Costa welcomed Iran’s willingness to restart negotiations with the United States, the E3 countries, and the European Union. (CCTV Gu Xin)
