A report released by the United Nations Office for Human Rights on the 11th local time shows that since the end of May this year, Palestinians in Gaza have been killed while trying to access humanitarian aid supplies. Among these deaths, 615 individuals were killed near the distribution points set up by the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” and 183 were victims along the route taken by the aid convoys.
On May 26th of this year, the private aid organization “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” supported by the United States and Israel, began operations in the Gaza Strip, establishing so-called distribution points for aid materials. However, UN agencies and aid organizations already operating in Palestine were excluded from this initiative. Following its implementation, there have been continuous incidents of civilians being attacked and killed near these distribution points. The United Nations has repeatedly condemned these actions, labeling them as “a ‘death trap’ at the aid center.” (CCTV Li Chao)
