On July 11th, local time, Boeing Corporation of the United States reached a settlement agreement with a Canadian man whose wife and three children were among the victims in the fatal Ethiopian Airlines crash in 2019.
It is reported that prior to reaching the settlement, the case was scheduled for a jury trial at the court on the 14th to determine the compensation amount. However, through mediation efforts, both parties eventually reached an agreement. The specifics of the agreement are currently unclear.
In March 2019, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737-8 aircraft crashed, resulting in the death of all 157 passengers and crew members on board.
