On July 14th, local time, it was learned by the General Headquarters that Campbell Wilson, CEO of Indian Airlines, stated that there were no mechanical or maintenance issues found in the aircraft or its engines as per the preliminary report released by the Indian aviation accident investigation bureau. All mandatory maintenance tasks had been completed.
In a letter to all employees of Indian Airlines, Wilson mentioned that there were no issues with the fuel quality of the crashed aircraft and that the takeoff run was normal. The pilots passed the mandatory pre-flight alcohol test without any abnormalities related to their medical condition.
Wilson emphasized that the preliminary report did not suggest any recommendations. He urged everyone to avoid hasty conclusions, as the investigation is far from over. Indian Airlines will continue to cooperate with investigators to clarify the cause of the accident.

On the afternoon of June 12th, local time, shortly after taking off from India to the United Kingdom, an Indian Airlines Boeing 787-8 aircraft crashed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, killing more than 270 people on board and around the ground. Both black boxes onboard have been recovered. This marks the first fatal aviation disaster involving the Boeing 787 model, with teams from multiple countries assisting in the investigation.
