Reports indicate that a previously undisclosed declassified document from the United States government revealed that in January 2023, an F-16 fighter jet was involved in a collision with an unidentified flying object (UFO) while training in Arizona. This news has once again sparked speculation about the possibility of extraterrestrial high-tech artifacts on Earth.
Recently, a spokesperson for the U.S. Air Force confirmed that two years ago, there was indeed a collision between a flying object and the left side of the F-16 “Viper” fighter jet, striking the aircraft’s transparent “shell” at the top. Preliminary investigations have found that this nearly $70 million aircraft was not damaged, ruling out the possibility of a bird impact.
The spokesperson also stated that authorities ultimately determined the F-16 was hit by a drone, but the location and operator of the device remain unconfirmed.
Reports of unidentified objects, especially those involving groups of such objects flying, are commonly referred to as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), which have become increasingly prominent in recent years. Such unknown anomalies near military bases are not uncommon occurrences.
In the vicinity of a military base in Arizona, pilots reported encountering drones with unusual characteristics in 2021, sometimes exceeding the altitude reachable by standard models. In other incident reports, pilots also discovered aircraft that did not emit heat signals or had abnormal flight behaviors capable of holding their position under strong winds.
According to publicly disclosed declassified documents from the U.S. government, there has been a noticeable increase in reports concerning UAPs in recent years. Between 2013 and 2019, the U.S. Air Force Security Center only received 25 reports related to UAPs. However, from May 2023 to June 2024, the Defense Department’s Office of Extraordinary Aerial Investigations received 757 such reports, but only 49 cases have been marked as “closed.”
Director James Fox, who specializes in filming UFO activities, insists that some sources of UAPs are so secretive that even the highest levels of government cannot be informed.
