On July 14th, local time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on social media that he had a call with US President Donald Trump, describing it as “very positive”. Trump briefed Zelensky on his discussions with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
Zelensky mentioned that he and Trump discussed the equipment and weapons Ukraine needs to achieve peace, stating that Ukraine is ready to engage in the most efficient cooperation for this purpose.
Furthermore, both parties agreed to maintain more frequent communication and continue to coordinate actions.

On the same day, Zelensky said he had a call with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, describing it as “extremely positive”.
Zelensky shared details of the ongoing cooperation between Europe and the United States in strengthening support for Ukraine.
Zelensky expressed gratitude towards the United States, Germany, and Norway for their willingness to provide additional “Patriot” missiles, and noted that all parties have started working on this matter. He added that there would be other weapons provided to Ukraine.
The United States will provide military aid to Ukraine through NATO
During a meeting at the Oval Office with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on July 14th, Trump stated that if Russia does not reach a peace agreement with Ukraine within 50 days, the United States will impose “very strict” tariffs on Russia.
Trump also mentioned that the United States would provide military assistance to Ukraine through NATO, with the cost of these weapons being covered by NATO taxpayers rather than American taxpayers. Some equipment, including the Patriot air defense missile system, would be delivered to Ukraine “very quickly”, expected to arrive within “a few days”. He added that some European countries would transfer their own Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
Stoltenberg stated that Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Canada are all interested in joining the plan to re-arm Ukraine through NATO and provide military aid to Ukraine. (CCTV Reporter Dong Wei)
