It has been learned that on June 29th, local time, Republican Senator Katie Britt of the United States predicted that the Senate would vote on the massive tax and spending bill, referred to by President Trump as “big and beautiful,” on the 30th.
Previously, the Senate passed a procedural vote on this bill on the night of the 28th with a slim margin of 51 to 49 votes. The Democratic senators adopted a significant delay tactic, forcing clerks to read the entire bill loudly in the Senate chamber for about 10 to 15 hours starting from 23:08 Eastern Time on the 28th. It is reported that after the reading was completed, debate on the bill will begin, with Britt predicting that the debate will start after 15:00 Eastern Time on the 29th. Britt stated that Democrats have 10 hours and Republicans also have 10 hours. She expects Democrats to use up these 10 hours, while Republicans may only need a few hours for defense before the Senate officially begins voting. (Xu Tao)
