On July 17th, local time, the United States Department of State condemned the violence in Syria. The Department’s Syrian Affairs Division stated that all parties must step back and engage in meaningful dialogue to achieve a lasting ceasefire. The United States is actively engaging with all parties in Syria to promote a gradual de-escalation and ongoing integration discussions.
