On July 18th local time, it was learned that the Trump administration in the United States announced the cancellation of a $327 million federal aid originally intended for Massachusetts. This funding was set to support a $2 billion reconstruction project on a congested highway in Boston.
This allocation was initially secured through the “Neighborhood Connectivity and Fairness Initiative” established in 2023, which has now been officially discontinued by the “Bigger is Better” Tax and Spending Act signed by Trump on July 4th. (Xu Tao)
