Southern Kyushu, Japan’s Tokawa Islands and their vicinity have been experiencing frequent seismic activity since the 21st. As of the afternoon of the 27th local time, over 490 minor earthquakes have been recorded, with the highest magnitude reaching 5.1. The peak of the seismic activity occurred on the 23rd, followed by a decrease in intensity after the 26th.

The earthquake has not resulted in any casualties or property damage.
