On June 29th local time, it was learned that during an interview with reporters regarding the Ukraine issue, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov stated that representatives from both Russia and Ukraine have not met recently. The Russian side hopes to finalize the timing for the third round of negotiations soon. He mentioned that the progress in negotiations on the Ukraine issue largely depends on the Ukrainian position and the efficiency of the US mediation efforts.
Peskov also pointed out that real-world ground conditions (i.e., the battlefield situation) must be taken into account in the negotiations.
