On July 20th, local time, the People’s Committee of Guangning Province in Vietnam submitted an official report to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh regarding the incident at Long Bay. The report revealed that the “Blue Bay 58” vessel, which had overturned, actually carried 49 people, including 46 passengers and 3 crew members, rather than the previously reported figure of 53. As of 1:40 AM on July 20th, rescue personnel successfully rescued 10 individuals and discovered the remains of 35 others, with 4 individuals still missing.
Previously, local Vietnamese media reported that the overturned boat carrying 53 people was involved in the accident, resulting in 38 deaths. (Report by Fu Xinri)
