On July 20th, according to the China Earthquake Network,
four earthquakes occurred successively on the eastern coast of Kamchatka, with magnitudes of 6.6, 7.2, 6.7, and 6.6 respectively. —
The China Earthquake Network officially determined:
An earthquake of magnitude 6.6 occurred in the far seas of the eastern coast of Kamchatka (53.05°N, 160.40°E), with a depth of 10 kilometers.
A magnitude 7.2 earthquake occurred at the same location (52.90°N, 160.45°E), with a depth of 10 kilometers.
A magnitude 6.7 earthquake was recorded at the same location (52.90°N, 160.55°E), with a depth of 10 kilometers.
A magnitude 6.6 earthquake was also reported at the same location (52.85°N, 160.70°E), with a depth of 10 kilometers.
According to the United States Geological Survey’s Earthquake Information Network, after the successive earthquakes in the waters near the Kamchatka Peninsula on July 20th, a tsunami warning was triggered.
