According to the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, as forecasted by both China and Vietnamese meteorological departments, Typhoon Weipa is expected to make landfall along the northeastern coast of Vietnam from the afternoon of July 22nd to the nighttime. From July 21st to 23rd, heavy rainfall is anticipated in the northern and central regions of Vietnam, with widespread rainfall reaching between 100 to 350 millimeters, and in some areas exceeding 600 millimeters.
The Chinese Embassy in Vietnam advises Chinese citizens in Vietnam to enhance their awareness of precautions and prepare for strong winds and heavy rainfall. It is advised not to participate in water activities, pay close attention to weather forecasts and disaster warnings, reduce non-essential outings during heavy rainstorms, and be mindful of lightning and rain when going out. Avoid visiting high-risk areas such as mountains and rivers, stay away from transformers, utility poles, signs, etc., and drive at a slower pace to avoid driving into low-lying waterlogged areas.
