On the evening of July 21, local time, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement indicating that, against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip, Hamas is fully committed to contacting relevant mediators tirelessly, day and night, with the primary goal of ending the suffering of the people of Gaza, preventing famine, and bringing an end to the conflict. This is the top priority of the leadership of Hamas.
The statement highlighted that the Israeli military is resorting to murderous tactics against Hamas, forcing unacceptable conditions onto it at the negotiation table.
However, Hamas emphasized its commitment to approach negotiations and communication with Palestinian factions and forces with a responsible and rational attitude, striving to accelerate the process towards reaching an agreement to halt Israeli aggression, end ethnic cleansing, facilitate reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, lift the blockade imposed by Israel, and ensure that the people of Gaza live with dignity.
