Cailian Press, July 23rd – The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the 22nd, stating that in response to the EU’s 17th and 18th rounds of sanctions against Russia, Russia will prohibit entry for a group of European nationals. The list includes staff from EU law enforcement agencies, governmental bodies, and commercial organizations, as well as citizens from EU member states and some Western countries who have provided military aid to Ukraine, participated in organizing supplies of military and civilian products to Ukraine, and engaged in activities aimed at undermining Russia’s territorial integrity and blocking Russian ships in the Baltic Sea. Additionally, individuals involved in prosecuting Russian officials, advocating for the confiscation of Russian state assets or using their proceeds to fund Ukraine, and representatives of European institutions and governmental bodies responsible for implementing sanctions against Russia are also included in the ban. Furthermore, prominent figures in European civil society and the scientific community known for their anti-Russian rhetoric are also listed among those banned.
