It has been reported that on June 29, local time, a shooting incident occurred near Coeur d’Alene, a city in Coeur d’Alene County, Idaho, USA. Several firefighters were attacked while extinguishing a mountain fire. The incident has resulted in two deaths and numerous injuries. Robert Norris, the county sheriff of Coeur d’Alene, stated that the shooter is still using high-powered rifles to shoot at law enforcement officers.
The incident took place in the Canfield Mountain Natural Area, located to the east of the city, which is densely forested and features several hiking and cycling trails. Following the shooting, local emergency management departments have instructed residents to seek shelter and avoid the mountain entrance and surrounding roads.
