On July 24 local time, a Russian An-24 passenger plane carrying 49 people crashed near Tenda Airport in the Far East Amur region of Russia. According to the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor’s Office, the An-24 involved in the incident was conducting a second approach near Tenda Airport before it went missing, preparing to land. The plane then lost contact. Sources indicated that the aircraft did not issue any signals indicating an emergency during its flight. Preliminary investigations suggest that poor visibility at the time of landing and crew error may have led to the crash of the An-24. Law enforcement agencies have reported that the technical condition of the An-24 was good. Currently, transportation authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
