Chinese Embassy in Cambodia: Reminding Chinese Citizens at the China-Thailand Border to Enhance Security Precautions

The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia announced that on July 24, armed clashes occurred between the Cambodian and Thai military forces in border areas such as Oudomxay Province and Phnom Penh Province. The Chinese Embassy has issued a consular warning. On July 26, shelling was reported in the border area of Pokhara Province. The Embassy once again reminds Chinese citizens in Cambodia, especially those close to conflict zones, to closely monitor local security situations, remain vigilant, strengthen precautions, pay attention to safety, and avoid traveling to the Cambodian-Thai border regions. Those already in the region should evacuate or relocate to safer areas as soon as possible.
