According to the WeChat public account “Chinese Embassy in Cambodia”, on July 24, firefighting incidents occurred between the Cambodian and Thai military forces at border areas such as Oudomxay Province and Phnom Penh Province. The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia has issued consular warnings. On July 26, shelling was reported in the border area of Poksan Province. The embassy once again reminds Chinese citizens in Cambodia, especially those close to conflict zones, to closely monitor local security situations, be vigilant, strengthen precautions, pay attention to safety, avoid traveling to the Cambodia-Thailand border areas, and urge those already there to evacuate or relocate to safer areas as soon as possible.
