According to Russia’s Sputnik news agency, Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary for the President of Russia, stated on July 27 that the relationship between Russia and Ukraine following the special military operation is currently an overly theoretical issue. The primary task is to complete the tasks of the special military operation.
Peskov mentioned that before determining the principles for future interactions between Moscow and Kyiv, it is essential to ensure that the tasks of the special military operation in Ukraine have been completed.
He said, “First and foremost, we need to solve the problem. We need to confirm that the tasks facing the special military operation have been completed.”
Peskov added that Russia prefers to achieve peace with Ukraine through political and diplomatic means. However, Kyiv and its Western allies have rejected all proposals for peace dialogue, hence the special military operation continues.
The Russo-Ukrainian conflict has drawn multifaceted power struggles.
