At 24:00 local time on July 28, the ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia officially came into effect.
On the afternoon of the 28th, Prime Minister Hun Makhej of Cambodia and Acting Prime Minister Phatakorn of Thailand led their respective high-level delegations to attend a special meeting on the situation at the Cambodian-Thai border in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The Prime Minister of Malaysia stated that both Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to a ceasefire, with the ceasefire agreement taking effect at midnight (local time on July 28). On the same day, Thai and Cambodian representatives confirmed that an agreement had been reached on a ceasefire, which would begin at midnight.
