Trump Claims He Had Long Been Cut Off from Epstein: He Was “Breached” More Than Once, and His Staff Went Away
According to the Associated Press, U.S. President Donald Trump stated on the 28th local time that he had long been cut off from Jeffrey Epstein and had expelled him from his private club in Florida, due to Epstein’s repeated “betrayal” of him by hiring some of his staff without his consent.
During an interview at the golf course in Tenby, Scotland, Trump made these remarks after meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and answering questions from both the United States and Britain.

When asked why their relationship with Epstein broke down, Trump initially responded, “Those are old stories, and explaining them is simple, but I don’t want to waste your time.” However, he later clarified that he had cut off relations with Epstein after he “did something inappropriate” towards him.
Trump said, “He poached my people. He took away the ones who worked for me. I told him ‘stop doing this’, and then he did it again, so I kicked him out and made him unwelcome.”
“I’m glad I did,” Trump added.
Trump did not specify the specific positions of the employees or where they had worked, and the White House declined further comment on this matter.
The report also mentioned that Trump had expressed that he “never got the chance” to visit Jeffrey Epstein’s island. Trump said he had turned down an invitation from Epstein.
In recent days, whether to publicly release documents related to Epstein has continued to stir up controversy in American politics. Media outlets have persistently pursued links between Trump and the Epstein case files. The Wall Street Journal reported on the 23rd that Attorney General Barrence Epstein had informed Trump that his name was indeed in the files.
Epstein had close interactions with numerous American politicians and business figures, and after being arrested on suspicion of sexual crimes, he died in prison in August 2019, ruling a suicide. Some Republican supporters believe that Epstein possessed a “customer list” involving sex trafficking, which included many prominent Democrats, and have continuously demanded that authorities disclose it.
