On August 1st, local time, President Trump of the United States took to social media platform “Reality Social” to call for the resignation of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
In his post, Trump mentioned that Adriana Kugler, a Fed director appointed by former President Biden, had already announced her resignation. He stated that Kugler “knew Powell had made mistakes on interest rates,” and he believes Powell should also take responsibility for his actions. (Liu Xiaoqian)
