
On the 17th, local time, the French presidency announced that President Macron will travel to Washington D.C., USA on the 18th to join hands with Ukrainian President Zelensky and several European leaders to further promote coordination between Europe and the United States, aiming to achieve a fair and lasting peace, safeguard Ukraine’s core interests, and maintain Europe’s security.
Earlier on the 17th, the President of the European Commission, Von Der Leyen, and German Chancellor Merkel also confirmed that they will travel to Washington D.C. with Zelensky to hold talks with U.S. President Trump.
Previously, on the 16th, Ukrainian President Zelensky confirmed that he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on the 18th. European countries are scheduled to hold a meeting on the 17th to discuss countermeasures.
