
Belarusian President Lukashenko revealed a sudden “interruption” in his conversation with Trump, joking that “enemies interrupted the dialogue”.
On August 15th, the official account of the President of Belarus announced that Lukashenko had a call with U.S. President Trump on the same day. According to reports from Belarusian news agency, Lukashenko disclosed the latest details of his conversation with Trump while answering questions in Minsk on the 22nd.

Lukashenko said that the call was abruptly disconnected and Trump called back soon after. “I said, ‘Donald, our conversation was interrupted by ‘enemies’.’ ” Lukashenko also said that this kind of joking allowed the dialogue between the two leaders to restart.
On August 15th, the official account of the President of Belarus announced that Lukashenko had a call with U.S. President Trump again, where they discussed bilateral agenda, regional issues, and the situation in hotspots such as Ukraine. Both sides agreed to continue to maintain contact. The President of Belarus invited Trump and his family to visit Minsk, which was accepted by Trump.
Later, Trump posted on social media about his call with Lukashenko on that day. They discussed issues such as the release of prisoners and Russian President Putin’s visit to Alaska. Trump said that they had a very pleasant conversation and he looked forward to meeting with Lukashenko in the future.
