According to a report by Agence France-Presse on July 2nd, the United States stated on the 2nd that
Iran’s refusal to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is “unacceptable.”
The spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Tammy Bruce, told the media: “We will use the word ‘unacceptable’ when Iran chooses to stop cooperating with the IAEA, which could backfire on the path to peace and prosperity.”

On the night of June 21st, the United States launched a bombing raid against Iran in support of its ally Israel. After 12 days of mutual attacks between Iran and Israel, a ceasefire was initiated on June 24th.
Trump warned that if Iran continues to enrich uranium and reaches a level where it can produce nuclear weapons, the United States would undoubtedly launch new strikes against it.
Bruce stated on the 2nd that Iran should “fully cooperate with the IAEA without shirking responsibility,” and Tehran should “fully comply” with the provisions of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. He also emphasized: “Iran cannot possess nor will it possess nuclear weapons.”
Previously, Iran announced the suspension of cooperation with the IAEA, which would prevent international inspectors from assessing the extent of damage caused by American and Israeli airstrikes on its major nuclear facilities, potentially leading to a new confrontation between Iran and the United States and other Western powers.
