△ Rescue personnel commence search and rescue operations
A spokesperson for the Indonesian Bali Search and Rescue Department, Gusty Ayu Kututuwijaya, stated on the 3rd that the shipwreck in the Bali Strait has resulted in six fatalities, 24 missing persons, and 35 individuals have been rescued. The search and rescue operation was temporarily halted due to the arrival of nightfall, with plans to resume on the 4th.
At around 03:00 local time on the 3rd, the Indonesian ferry “Tuju Pratamanya Jaya” sank in the Bali Strait, carrying a total of 65 people, including 53 passengers and 12 crew members.
