On June 28th, local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi stated after attending a commemorative event for the victims of the Iran-Iraq conflict that the Iranian people have demonstrated an unwavering spirit of valor in the face of two nuclear-armed regimes, firmly upholding their dignity and honor.
The Iranian people have shed their blood without relinquishing a single inch of land. Iran has nothing to do with the term “surrender.”
In the morning of the 28th, a solemn funeral was held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, to mourn over 60 senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and other figures who lost their lives in recent Iran-Iraq conflicts. This includes former Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Baqeri, former Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, and former Commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Amir-Ali Hajizad, among many other military high-ranking officials.
