On June 27th, local time, President Donald Trump expressed on his social media platform “Reality Social” that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, despite knowing that his declarations were lies, still claimed Iran had won the war against Israel, which is not true.
Trump stated that three of Iran’s nuclear facilities had been destroyed, and he was aware where Khamenei was hiding. He would not allow Israel or the United States armed forces to end Khamenei’s life. At the last moment of the war, Trump also requested Israel to redeploy a large air force back to Tehran, intending to launch a major battle. This would be the largest attack to date, causing significant destruction and many Iranians to die.
Over the past few days, he has been striving to seek relief from sanctions and other measures to provide better opportunities for Iran to fully, quickly, and thoroughly recover its strength, but this has met with counterattacks.
Trump said he immediately abandoned all efforts to lift sanctions.
Earlier that day, Trump had indicated he would respond to Khamenei’s claim about winning the war. (CCTV reporter Xu Dezhi)
