On June 27th local time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced on social media that in an effort to weaken Russian forces’ ability to conduct airstrikes against Ukrainian territory, a coordinated operation was carried out by the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, the Security Service, and other units of the Defense Ministry.
The operation targeted the “Marinovka” Air Base in Volgograd Oblast of the Russian Federation, resulting in precise strikes on four aircraft. The area where fighter jet maintenance is located was also damaged. Currently, further verification of the extent of damage to Russian aircraft is underway.
