According to a report by the Israel Times on April 29, an Israeli was arrested in April for allegedly participating in an intelligence collection mission for Iran and was accused of being involved in the assassination plan against the Israeli Defense Minister.
A detailed report released by the Israeli police on April 28 revealed that the 24-year-old suspect, Roy Mitzraschi, has been in contact with Iranian agents for a long time this year and carried out a series of tasks under full knowledge. The report stated that Mitzraschi was recruited through social media platform “Telegram,” and his friend Almog Atiyas was also involved. Initially, under the request of an Iranian agent named Alex, they completed tasks such as filming multiple locations and setting up spy cameras. Mitzraschi had also received an offer to assassinate a scientist at the Weizmann Institute for Science and Research, with a reward of $1 million, but declined the task after Alex refused to pay half of the amount in advance.
Subsequently, another Iranian agent named Gazi contacted Mitzraschi, who was asked to retrieve a blue bag containing explosives from somewhere and place it near the home of the Defense Minister. The report did not specify the exact location of the explosives or whether they were ready to be detonated, indicating that Mitzraschi’s actions were not part of the final phase of the assassination plot. However, it was reported that these explosives were intended to be detonated when the Defense Minister passed by, making the assassination attempt “very close to success.”
The Israeli police stated that over the past few months, there has been a significant increase in cases of Israelis being arrested and charged with espionage activities for Iran. Last week, three Israelis were arrested, one for gathering intelligence on Netanyahu’s future daughter-in-law, and another for filming the residences and military bases of public officials. In May, 18-year-old Moshe Atiyas was accused of monitoring Naftali Bennett during his hospitalization. Previously, two Israeli defense forces reservists were arrested for allegedly passing sensitive information about the “Iron Dome” missile defense system to Iran in exchange for only $50.
According to a report by the Tehran Times website on June 25, information obtained by the newspaper indicates that Israel is planning an explosion on American territory, then framing Iran as the perpetrator, with the clear aim of provoking a full-scale war between the United States and Iran.
Previously, the Israel Times revealed that Israel had launched a large-scale assassination campaign against Iranian nuclear scientists. The report mentioned that Israel launched an attack codenamed “Nania Action” against Iran, resulting in the deaths of nine of Iran’s top ten nuclear scientists. The report quoted information from Israel’s Channel 12 television station, stating that these scientists were assassinated using a special weapon, though details of the weapon were not disclosed.
