[Involvement in the Attack on Iran, U.S. Media Unveils Exciting News!] According to a report by CNN on the 27th, U.S. Army Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dana Kearney, revealed during a briefing that the U.S. military did not use a nuclear-penetrating bomb at one of Iran’s largest nuclear facilities, Isfahan, last weekend because the facility is too deep underground for even a nuclear-penetrating bomb to be effective.
Last weekend, B2 bombers from the United States dropped dozens of nuclear-penetrating bombs at Iranian nuclear facilities in Forod and Natanz, but only the “Tomahawk” cruise missile launched by a U.S. submarine hit the Isfahan nuclear facility. Kearney’s statement first explained why the U.S. military did not use giant nuclear-penetrating bombs against the central Isfahan nuclear facility in Iran.
According to an American official, during the briefing, Director of Central Intelligence Lara Kleifeld told lawmakers that U.S. intelligence assessments indicate that most of Iran’s enriched uranium materials are located in the Isfahan and Forod nuclear facilities. U.S. officials believe that the underground facilities in Isfahan store nearly 60% of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
The report mentioned that Kearney, Kleifeld, along with U.S. Defense Secretary Mattis and Secretary of State Pompeo, gave lawmakers confidential briefings. Kearney’s spokesperson declined to comment on the briefings submitted to Congress, stating they could not comment on them.
Democratic Senator Chris Murphy told CNN after receiving the briefing that some capabilities of Iran “are so deeply underground that we can never reach them.”
Previously, President Trump had stated that Iran’s nuclear facilities had been completely destroyed and he had criticized CNN and The New York Times for being “fake news” for reporting that the U.S. military had failed to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities.
