According to the “Israel Times,” President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform in the early hours of Eastern Time (1 a.m. Beijing time) on June 29, urging an agreement in Gaza.
“In Gaza, an agreement is needed. Save the hostages!!!” Trump wrote in the post.
It seems that Trump was urging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire agreement.
Trump had earlier predicted that the ceasefire agreement in Gaza would be signed within a week.
Before Trump posted the aforementioned message, he had twice called for the Israeli prosecutors to close the case against Netanyahu.
On June 25, Trump had tweeted on social media, requesting the retraction of corruption charges against Netanyahu. On June 28, Trump stated on social media that the investigation into Netanyahu’s corruption was a “political persecution,” and he appealed for Netanyahu’s release, stating, “He has much to do.” He criticized what they were doing to Netanyahu as “terrible.” Netanyahu had cooperated with the United States in achieving significant success in eliminating Iran’s nuclear threat. It’s important to note that he is currently negotiating an agreement with Hamas, which includes the rescue of hostages. Trump said, “How can the Israeli Prime Minister sit idly at the court all day? This is political persecution… The United States spends billions of dollars each year to protect and support Israel, far more than any other country. We cannot tolerate this situation… Let Benjamin go! He has much to do!”
