According to a report by Newsweek on June 28, the latest polls by Newsweek show that President Trump’s approval rating has dropped to an all-time low.
The survey revealed that 43% of Americans currently approve of Trump’s performance, while 53% disapprove, resulting in a net approval rating of negative 10%.
The report noted that this was a decrease of 3 percentage points from the previous day, when his net approval rating was negative 7%. This marks the lowest net approval rating since April 29.
Following the announcement of “Liberty Day” tariffs in April this year, Trump’s poll numbers initially plummeted significantly. Although his support rate quickly rebounded, recent actions seem to reignite public discontent with the White House.
This includes his decision to deploy National Guard and Marine Corps forces to Los Angeles to quell protests, as well as ordering airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities last weekend—polls indicate that most voters oppose these actions.
Since then, the polls have shown that Trump’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest point recorded.
The report also pointed out that other polls have indicated that Trump’s approval rating has dropped to a new low since his second term began.
A recent poll conducted by YouGov/Economically Speaking on June 20-23 among 1,590 adults showed that Trump’s net approval rating was negative 14%.
Similarly, a new poll conducted by the Red State Group during June 17-20 among 1,223 adults showed his net approval rating at negative 13%.
Recent polls by Gallup, Ipsos, and the American Research Group also reveal that Trump’s net approval rating has hit a new low since his second term began.
