Ukrainian forces reported that an F-16 fighter jet from Ukraine had crashed, resulting in the death of its pilot.

On June 29th local time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force Command issued a statement stating that in the early hours of the day, Russia launched another large-scale missile and drone attack on Ukraine.
The statement mentioned that this attack was extensive, involving various types of missiles and drones, totaling over 500 air targets. During the Ukrainian military interception operations, pilot Maxim Ustienko was shot down by an Russian drone while flying an F-16 fighter jet. The jet crashed, and the pilot died.
Russian media reported that this marked the third Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet to be shot down since the start of the special military operation.
