On June 29th, local time, the spokesperson for the United States Department of Defense, Sean Parnell, reposted a report from The Washington Post on social media and criticized it. The report stated that U.S. intercepted intelligence indicated that Iranian officials believed the damage inflicted by an American strike was not as great as anticipated.
Parnell commented, “Mainstream media is weaponizing America and its outstanding military forces, deliberately using incomplete, one-sided, and entirely false intelligence assessments.
