According to news reports, on the 29th local time, Kim Jong-un, the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Council, met with Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova who led the Russian Cultural Ministry delegation to visit North Korea at the headquarters building of the Party’s Central Committee.
Kim Jong-un expressed his belief that this visit would further promote the combat friendship and friendly feelings between the two countries.
On the same day, Kim Jong-un and Lyubimova watched a public performance brought by Russian and Korean artists together. Direct News noted that Kim Jong-un’s daughter, Kim Ju-ae, was also present and watched the performance.
According to previous reports, Lyubimova led a delegation of 125 actors, including members from the Piatinitzky Chorus and the Greli Dance Troupe, to visit North Korea on the 28th. She praised the cultural cooperation between Russia and North Korea as reaching an “unparalleled height”.
This visit coincides with the first anniversary of Russia and North Korea signing the “Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership”.

Putin stated that this document is crucial and will serve as the foundation for further development of the relationship between the two countries. Kim Jong-un expressed that the bilateral relations between North Korea and Russia have been elevated to an alliance level.
