Trump Makes Another Statement: “I Haven’t Talked to Iran Since the US Attacked Their Nuclear Facilities”
According to a recent report by Russia’s Sputnik News, President Donald Trump posted on social media on June 30th, stating that he has not had any conversations with Iran since the United States began its campaign against their nuclear facilities.
In his post, Trump mentioned that since the United States “completely destroyed their (Iran’s) nuclear facilities,” he hasn’t had any contact with Iran.
On the same day, Trump confirmed local time on June 21st that the U.S. military had “successfully struck” three Iranian nuclear sites: Forodan, Natanz, and Isfahan. On June 23rd, Iran responded to the U.S.’s aggressive actions against its nuclear facilities by launching missile strikes at the U.S. airbase in Qatar, Udayde.
On June 25th, Trump stated that the United States would soon hold talks with Iran and might sign an agreement. However, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian denied rumors of a consensus for restarting negotiations on June 26th. According to reports by The Guardian and other British media on June 29th, during an interview, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Javad Zarif, told the United States, “If you want to give us orders, we can’t negotiate.”
