The incident was reported by various departments including the Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, where the aircraft triggered an alarm indicating “pressurization system failure.” It is suspected that there was a decompression condition inside the cabin, prompting the pilot to declare an emergency to air traffic control and subsequently change the destination to land at Kansai Airport.
Japan Airlines is currently investigating the specific cause of the accident.
On June 30th, a netizen posted about a flight from Spring Airlines Japan IJ004, which took off from Shanghai Pudong at 17:35 to Tokyo in Japan. The aircraft encountered mechanical issues during the journey, causing an oxygen mask to suddenly drop out. The plane rapidly descended from over ten thousand meters, making an emergency landing in Osaka. Despite being alive, the person had lost their spirit! Their legs were still trembling! Life and death are nothing compared to this…
Subsequently, another netizen commented that the descent began at around 19:00 and lasted for 20 minutes, dropping to over three thousand meters, almost like free fall…
According to reports by Xiaoxiang Morning News, the flight departed from Shanghai Pudong at 17:49 on the same day, scheduled to arrive at Narita Airport in Tokyo at 21:47 local time. However, radar data indicated that around 18:53, the flight was originally flying over 11,000 meters but suddenly dropped to over 3,200 meters within ten minutes. The flight then landed near 19:50.
Customer service for Spring Airlines told that Spring Airlines operates as a separate airline.
On the evening of June 30th, Spring Airlines officially announced: Today, a self-media post claimed that a Spring Airlines flight experienced a rapid descent of 3,000 meters. Upon investigation, this information was found to be false. The flight code for Spring Airlines’ flights starts with the letter ‘9C’, and all flights are operating normally.
