On June 30th, local time, John Swinney, the Chief Secretary for Local Government in Scotland, stated that the wildfire situation in many parts of Scotland is “extremely serious.”
Currently, several roads in northern Scotland have been closed. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been dealing with multiple large-scale wildfires across Aberdeenshire, the Highlands, and Morar since last weekend. (Reported by Chen Lincong)
