[Report by Li Ziyu] The Israel Times has noted that the Iranian Mehr News Agency released a video on July 3rd local time, showing an attack on the holy city square in Tehran, Iran, during the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran.
The Israel Times cited the video footage, stating that on the day of the attack, people were walking on the streets and vehicles were driving along the road. Following this, two explosions occurred one after another, causing numerous cars parked on the side of the road to be blown up into the air. The camera’s view was then obstructed by the smoke rising from the explosions, and pieces of the destroyed cars fell, resulting in the video being cut off.
On the early morning of June 13th, Israel launched a large-scale airstrike against Iran, which led to multiple rounds of retaliatory attacks from both sides. On the 21st Eastern Time, President Trump of the United States announced that U.S. forces had attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran. On the 23rd, Iran launched a missile strike at the U.S. Air Force Base in Qatar’s Udaidydah. On the 24th, following the schedule announced by the U.S., a ceasefire was declared between Israel and Iran.
The Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran reported on June 30th, citing Asghar Jahangiri, a spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Justice, saying that the 12-day Israeli attack on Iran from June 13th to 24th resulted in 935 deaths. According to Asghar Jahangiri’s figures, among the deceased were 38 children.
