The Maritime Trade Action Office in the UK reported that on July 6th local time, a merchant ship was attacked approximately 51 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen.
It is understood that several small vessels approached the ship and launched attacks using light weapons among other means. The armed security personnel on board the merchant vessel retaliated.
