American media reports that a US man has been arrested in Mexico with an ID card bearing the “CIA” emblem. The State Department has responded.

Fox News reported that the Mexican government stated that the man was arrested for “possible involvement in disruptive activities and possession of military-specific weapons.” Security agencies in Mexico discovered that the man had multiple firearms, bullets, helmets, and other items.
Fox News also mentioned that the U.S. State Department acknowledged the report about the man’s arrest. A spokesperson for the agency stated, “When a U.S. citizen is arrested abroad, the State Department will do its best to provide consular assistance.”
